We have hard our 2007 2.7 HSE since beginning of december and really enjoy it. IT has ALL the toys, Brembo brakes, ACE, DVDs, Difflocks and probably much more that we havn't even figured out yet.
I have even taken it offroad with our local LR club and it performed excellently.
However on friday it performed a different kind of task and again I am greatful that it is such a competant car.
My wife and her eldest daughter were in the car on the motorway, when the car in front of her braked heavily and collided with the car infront again. My wife managed to stop, thankyou Brembo, and was reaching for the hazard light switch, when
she saw a shadow in the rear view mirror. She was then hit from behind by a VW Amarok doing motorway speed, as the driver had been less than observant and hadn't managed to brake. This then pushed her into the other 2 cars.
So now have no RRS (or other car) and have to deal with insurance company hassle.
My wife and her daughter are fine, if a bit beaten up... Hoping we can get the car back, but I won't hold my breath

Sounds like they had a lucky escape...maybe due to the size and solidness of the RR  Steve.

Just been sent a copy of the estimate from the assessors. Approx £13.500 worth of parts, labour and painting.
