I was once told that HMTQM got LR to modify her LR to install a rear wiper on the inside of the glass - her dogs kept steaming it up and leaving nose-prints/snot. |

Hugh, that must have been in the days of Series Land Rovers, even the early Defenders at least had the option of a heated rear screen before it became a standard fitting! Mind you my 90’s rear side windows steam up very quickly and my “luxury” County model’s pop-up Glass sunroof does a good inpression of Niagara Falls on a cold morning with condensation on the inside of the glass....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I thought the heated screen was to keep your hands warm when pushing it?

These days when I drive from Central Scotland to Southampton/ Hampshire, even in the summer, I make an overnight stop at the Lancaster Premier Inn - OK so not the most costly/ luxury hotels available but that one is less than a mile from the M6 (if using RRS Satnav the junction has changed but it wasn't updated in my system so I missed it and had to drive to the next one north, and come back south!) the HarvesterRestaurant isn't fantastic but sufficient and there is a Shell garage about 750 yards

Booked for April am, shame it's not within the school half term, looking forward to it. Need to get off road cover. |

Let me know if you find any insurance - I'll do the same.

I've cancelled and got a refund, so there is another ticket back in the pot. Couldn't find any third-party off-road only insurance - it seems to only come as part of a whole year's insurance and the higher premium plus admin fees made it expensive. I'd näively assumed it'd be simple. That's me off the New Years Honours List. |
