Sorry to hear of your woes and experiences. hoping I don't have the same........

As collected a my18 sport earlier today. As a repeat customer dealer has looked after me so fa,r so a big shout out to Matt and his crew.

However, noticed a few things on quick handover that need rectifying pronto and have pointed out e.g shabby seat bolsters and sagging leather on front seats and bolster, Jarred plastic wrapping

I’m sure I’ll notice other bits and bobs over the coming days that will need addressing (fingers crossed no electrical gremlins to follow - but not holding my breath).

Initial impressions, really like the updated interior compared to my 17 and external styling.

HiRE66ELL
It looks great.
Thank you for your concern. and I really hope that you don't experience any. Similarly, if wasn't for my dealer, I would be left high and dry. I have nothing but praise for Rebecca at the dealership and she is now taking the car in again and giving me a loan car, to see if they are able to do something. She is reluctant to make changes, in case it upsets the electronics even further and will need t wait until this update becomes available.
I'm not pleased that JLR knowingly sold me a vehicle which had electronic issues that they hadn't resolved.
I will let you know what the dealership has been able to do for me.
It is a shame that all of this is detracting from what is a much improved and refined motor car.

Lovely looking car hope it's a goodun, those 22" wheels are my favourites and look great but if you painted them black would you lose the impact against the black paint work? MY18 SCV8 Satin flux silver

Agreed with above posts - leave them alone. If you paint them and then get kerb rash the silver will show through worse on a black wheel that has been painted. I am biased though as I have those 22’s on my Corris RRS 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I'd leave the wheels as they are. If I was going to paint them, it would be a dark graphite / gunmetal type colour, not black. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Crank issue is with the 292 engine is it not ,as LR issued a bulletin on the matter before the 306 update . I can't believe they would of carried on without sorting the problem once aware given that in most instances they stand the repair . Could be wrong though , has anyone any record of a 306 crank failure

Mine failed while in Germany, so had to transport to UK and then new engine fitted. 26K miles. (all done FOC by LR)

The 306bhp engine is also reported as having crank problems.
Evidently It's not a different engine, just different tuning, programming and weight of car? John

So they must of carried on with dodgy bearing casing even after they were aware of the issue ! Well as long as they keep fixing them FOC I guess that's their loss .
I just rebuilt our old disco 3 engine after the cam tensioner broke it's mount , cost me Β£4k but have since just learnt of someone with the same issue @ 120k miles and LR replaced whole engine FOC . I never even thought of approaching Landrover as mine is at 160K miles but who knows they may have contributed ,but I doubt it given it was bought independently and is not serviced by LR , I will be sure to keep the RRS serviced by LR once out of warranty in the hope of goodwill should the worst happen .
