Battery low

As I'm sure many owners are aware that if you have a battery that is getting low on charge you can experience all sorts of display lights on the dash!! Yesterday I struck up my car for the first time in a few days and I had transmission fault light on suspension warning light , active Corning lights warning lights on and various other fault warnings !! All of this was because the battery was getting low . So put it on charge for 5 hours and it's back to full health . Just thought I should make newer owners aware of this so they don't panic when the dash goes crazy !!!

If you get a dash load of warnings on L320 RRS1 then also check that a tail light isn’t out - one lamp out at the back can also cause a shed load of apparrant issues. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

The first question to asking yourself is why was the battery low so low? Do you have a parasitic drain somewhere or is the battery old / tired. Perhaps the alternator is getting tired. Be worth keeping a check on the state of charge to see if you can fix it before it dies on you. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

To be honest I think it's down to very little use , short town journeys , winter conditions and having things on like front heated window to defrost, heated seats first thing in a morning etc , battery fully charged and everything back to normal , but you are right in pointing out that I could have a potential underlying problem and I will keep a close eye on charge 👍Ps battery is just over 2 years old

is the L320 ok to trickle charge, whilst bty is situ & connected?

if so, just leave one of those hooked up, if it doesnt get sufficient use to keep bty topped up
