seat moving when inserting or removing key

Hi, I'm new here and proud owner of a RRS TDV8, which I bought recently. The question: every time I insert or remove the key from the ignition, the driver seat moves. Is it possible to switch this feature off? It annoys me that every time I get in or out the car the seat moves.

There's a knob on the left hand side of the steering column. Twist is to enable (as you have it set at the moment) or disable (as you would prefer it) the Auto option Thumbs Up Robin

Thanks a lot Eaters! Never figured that the steering column adjust knob would adjust the seats as well! Problem solved Thumbs Up

There is a switch on the steering column. Rotate it away from the auto position and the seat and steering will no longer move automatically

Woahhhhh....switch on steering column? Do we all have this? I`d love my seat to move back cos it`s very tight fitting my Disklok! Steve.

Steve,

The switch on the steering column allows upwards and downwards movement of the column and, when in auto mode, will move the seat back and column up to allow the driver easier exit and entry to the vehicle. It is not, in itself, a seat adjustment. See my earlier comment in response to Salvagemartinā€™s issue. Thumbs Up Robin
