Multi point entry won’t enable?

Hi,

First post for me, I’ve just bought a 2007 RRS SC. I can’t get the multi point entry to work. I unlock the car and then hold both buttons on the remote, the indicators flash but the remote still only opens the drivers door.

Am I doing something wrong?

Tim

you have to hold both buttons for around 5 seconds until the locks make another noise

The locks make a noise but still behave the same way, could something be broken? If I press the remote twice it all unlocks.

I have tried the spare key and that one works! There must be some difference between the two keys..

It’s had new keys at some point. I’ll use the working key for now😀

Have a look in the menus on the dash panel, I seem to recall there
being an option there.

Maybe only the one key has been programmed. Steve.

If its like my 2008 then one push of the open button only unlocks the drivers door. You nee to push the same button a second time to unlock the other doors. From the handbook:

3. Unlock button: Press once to disarm the alarm and unlock the driver’s door and to activate the Lazy entry feature. See Lazy entry, 57. Press again to unlock the remaining doors. See Single-point entry, 42.

Single-point entry This is a personal security feature, which enables only the driver’s door to be unlocked, leaving the other doors in a locked state. Single-point entry can be disabled on individual remote control keys by pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons together for three seconds. Repeating the procedure will re-enable the feature. Each time single-point entry is turned on or off, the vehicle will lock then unlock into the selected mode (all doors unlocked or just the driver’s door unlocked).

Does this help? Robin

I think he knew that.

Maybe you turned it on again by accident ?
