Has anybody used tailgate struts from LR Trade parts on eBay ?? Are they correct ones to use.

Yep just fitted them unlock lift the door 2" and stand back about £34 bought a pair as if you only replace one it sees the old one off. Mines a 2005 hence has the twin tailgate. If it ain't broken down it soon will

Yeah mine is a 2006 so same as yours I know on here they say that the right strut has to be stronger because of the extra weight, so I’ve seen LR TRADE PARTS selling them but wasn’t sure if they was good enough to do the job

There handed part No ending in 53 right/drivers side 43 left/passenger side took abut 15 mins to fit  If it ain't broken down it soon will

They are Vin No. Dependent, Prior to 6A940841 they end 43 & 53

From 6A940842 to 8A137584 they end 44 & 54

From 8A137585 they end 60 & 70 However the part number has now been been superseded. The one's ending 44 & 60 is now LR027543 and 54 & 70 is LR029320
