I see LIDL are selling their version of CTEK charger from 11th Jan costing £13.99. Reading the blurb in their mag it appears to do pretty much the same as CTEK. I already have a CTEK so won't be buying but at that price it seems worth a punt.

Had one for years handy bit of kit lives in the car does the job and if I remember has a 3yr warranty  If it ain't broken down it soon will

I’ve just googled it and it seems that lidl has offered these in 2011 and 2013 at the same price BUT seems also quite a few people had issue with them in 2011 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I bought one in Lidl about a year ago. Got home and tried it and nothing happened. Took it back, got it exchanged and the new one has been good as gold ever since. Robin

I've got a pair of those I bought last year. They're good chargers, well worth the £14. They are not as good as my ctek though, no recondition mode, no agm mode.

Been using one of these for a year now, and have had no problems. I went to Lidl today and bought another for the future. Be quick guys, as you can see it IS suitable for AGM batteries

Is gel the same as agm?
