I can’t see many of these being sold in the UK, that’s for sure.

after having a period of " i want a new car" blues and thinking the current line up is over priced, they go and pull one out of the hat

I knew about this model back in September and was asked to keep it to myself - at the moment the car is only being offered to those who dealers think might be suitable buyers......... you will not be able to walk into a dealer and say “I’ll have one of those please” so expect a few footballers and bankrupt millionaires to be buying them. They are also a very very limited edition car. You never know, they might even be more common in the UK than Velars.... Might suit RRSman better than the Rambo Lambo.

Funny you say that Tim! I was contacted by someone at a JLR advisory board asking if I would be interested in this car and at £250k I politely declined! I can't imagine spending that much money on a car and then not being able to book the car in for another 30 days if one has an issue to be resolved. JLR after sales is rapidly going downhill IMHO it's very worrying with so many new models in the pipeline too!

I think JLR need to begin investing in dedicated service centres rather than big fancy triple floor glass fronted dealerships so that people can get early appointments if they have issues with their cars.

I have also been invited by the JLR advisory board to join a new Private Forum run by JLR themselves! The forum is full of owners complaining about their RRS, FFRR and Velars - I guess this was a very smart and tactical idea from someone within JLR marketing as what better than have owners rant about their cars on a private forum rather than a public forum like this??

Yes I think if I had paid out > 80k for a car that I could get it booked in when it suited me and not the dealers........... at 250k I hope the service agents will come to me when I want, and I don’t mean Land Rover Assist having to come out to fix an issue.
With the number of FFRR owners around here switching to Bentley SUV’s Land Rover is going to have it’s work cut out though..... many of those owners have switched to Bentley ONLY because the Glasgow LR dealers are awful (Lookers owned but not called Lookers) and all the dealers in Glasgow are owned by the same group so it doesn’t matter where you go they are all terrible. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
