Fuel Filter

Hello All,

I did a general service on my RRS 2 weeks ago, and while I was underneath I was trying to find the fuel filter.

I couldn't find it, so I thought I would leave it for now because I was at the garage this morning as they were helping me to a transmission flush.

While under the car today, we were again looking for it. We could see the fuel pipes, and followed them to the square fuel cooler, but I didn't see any fuel filter.

Can anyone help?

Remove black plastic panel that crosses side to side just behind front wheels (4x 10mm bolts)

With your back to the front look up to the left just beside the wheel arch. You will see a silver metal cover plate, 3x 10mm bolts about 15cm * 25cm but angled.

Remove that & filter behind.

It is under the car under the driver seat (RHD). You eill see the X member behind the gearbox and it is above it.

See pic taken from behind the right hand front wheel looking back. Remove that aluminium cover and the fuel filter is behind it.

humm. The 2005 diesels have them much further forward than that.
And only require removal of the plastic gearbox shield

Maybe - but the 2005s have that crappy fuel filter with all the pipes that have to be undone - the 07MY on have the better filter that just twists to undo - no plumbing. 07MY RRS TDV6

Are there any panels/ trays that need to be removed to get to the filter panel(07 model) that is shown
in the pics?
