Jacking up with Retractable side steps

Do the side steps have to be in the ‘out’ position when jacking the car up? ____________________

Depends where you put the jack,i always jack up under suspension arms so it wouldn't make any difference

Cheers Andy, was just getting winter tyres fitted and it’s a new place and I wasn’t sure re the steps, they went with the suspension arms in the end so guess I’m good! ____________________
