RRS MY 2018 Delivery

Hi all,

New to the forum....be kind!

Not sure if many have a MY2018 on order but I ordered mine back in early October '17. Was advised an"End of December" delivery and although my car is built and gathering dust in the factory have been told today that no RR or RRS 2018 models will be released until January - due to a "Quality Control Issue".

Anyone heard what this might be?

If JLR are going to stop deliveries until quality control issues are sorted you might have a long wait

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I have seen several 2018 RRS and FFRR on the roads now and suspect that they have a problem with headlights as all the cars I have seen don’t have the styled DRL’s, instead they have what looks like 4 LEDs in the small oval section that would have been the closed loop of the DRL yet all the photos in publicity material show the same DRL’s as 2013 through to 2017MY, they also don’t have the rear lights lit when running like my 2015 car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

According to the Product Brief at launch, the earliest showroom / demonstrator cars were due in early Jan and first deliveries thereafter but also starting in Jan. Perhaps some dealers have been telling a porky or two about December deliveries!

Not sure about that, two dealers seem to have said the same thing, an i have seen a screen shot of the order with build date, delivery etc,

I am not doubting that at all and as keen as anybody else waiting for MY18. But has anybody here seen a MY18 at a dealer yet alone taken delivery of one?

I put the question to him over the phone and in person yesterday and he still believes my car is arriving to them by the 12th Jan??

Just had a call from our local main stealer, the 2018 demonstrator they were promised has also been put back due to a problem with delivery schedules...... maybe the issue is bigger than being reported, which is not good news for anyone who is currently on order. 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

I’m not sure there is an issue with the build...... the way I see it is they build them & hold them back so they have enough for all the dealers to receive the cars at almost the same time... I may be wrong but when a new model is launched the manufacturer wants the cars in the dealerships all over not just one here & there in dribs & draps👍

Good news looks like you may be one of the first to get the 18model.

just got off the phone to the dealers, my 2018 model is built and ready
original delivery date was end of december but just been told 2018 models will not be released until january
