Security screws arrived and fitted together with 4 reg plate black plastic screw caps
Before swapping the screws over, thought I’d find out just how easy it is to ‘steal’ one of my own lights. Less than three minutes!!! Without any damage to the car, no alarms etc and the neighbours didn’t call the police

If you haven’t done it yet, get some of these screws fitted. It really is easy to remove these expensive light clusters and i’m not a very experienced tea leaf

I have my screws on order, but am rather confused how this theft is carried out. Whilst it's not essential for me to know, I am still curious and would be grateful if you would send me a PM of how it's done.

My screws arrived a few days ago but I haven`t fitted yet

I also can`t see how they can be stolen...but, I`ll be safe now...once I get round to fitting them that is. Steve.

I've had mine stolen before and its not nice. A friend of mine had his stolen and the cut wires too, just to make it easier for themselves. It took him months to find replacement connector plugs and then solder them back on. LR would not sell the plugs separately, and said that you would have to purchase a whole new wiring loom! Unbelievable, especially after an LR oversight has caused this problem.

Fitted mine. I thought the new screws could have done with a slightly wider head, but seem to be holding them in place so far. Steve.

I fitted mine today and found that while the screw heads are smaller than the LR originals, the number plate screw caps acted like a washer and it felt OK to me.

Ah right, I get ya. I haven`t got round to buying those yet. Steve.

Can someone let me know where to get the screws from & how to fit them
