There's some nice twin tailpipe trims on ebay for £21.99 (£39.98 the pair). They can be properly fitted and welded by your local exhaust specialists (ie Top Gear), or, as previously stated, you can just hacksaw the end of your single pipes and clamp-on the new ones. They do look much better, Im going to have mine done. Good Luck!

They look nice, but as MDP mentioned, the soot will come straight out, which could cause the rear of the car to get covered!

Go for JE, you won't regret it. It looks very good and the sound is def V8 ish.

But I'm damn certain if you choose the cheap option you will soon get fed up cleaning the soot off the back Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

I already have a through-flow stainless steel sports exhaust from Twisted Performance which sounds great and gives no problem with soot flying out: http://www.twistedperformance.co.uk/product_range_rover_sport.htm

However, the two single pipes look a bit lost and lame so it needs quad. I see no reason why they wont fit, but Im going to Top Gear Exhaust specialists (nationwide) who who supply and fit for £100'ish and do a professional job.

What's interesting is the quoted performance gains for the system Confused and as for the filter Shocked they are quoting + 10bhp ......... for this. - ITG air filter which is available for all RRS models and is in fact manufactured by ...... JE Engineering! Hmmm 10bhp for the TDV6 ......... and the 4.4 and the Supercharged as well

I think NOT Rolling Eyes

Do you think the figures are "optimistic" then? What do you think it should be?

I agree with you on the exaggeration of the power gains, but ITG air filters are not manufactured by J.E., they are manufactured by ITG. I've used these filters in the past and have found that, at best, they reduce turbo lag. But 10 bhp? I'll say it again.................

JE Engineering "OWN" ITG - therefore same thing & the premisses are next to each other.

Also here is a reply from ITG - when I emailed them some time ago for details on their filters ....

QUOTE

"We don’t actually make any claims for increased performance from our panel filters as the gains usually found can be quite small, however most of our customers report that the engine seems to run more freely. Another point raised by customers is that they generally see an extra 1-2 miles per gallon using our filters.
Another advantage with our filters is the way they trap and hold the dirt, paper filters only hold dirt on the surface of the filter, this means that after a short while the airflow will start to decrease quite rapidly. Foam filters on the other hand trap dirt using the depth of the filter and can therefore hold a lot more dirt without losing airflow; this means you will not get the same drop off in performance between services that you would normally find with a paper filter. Hope this clears a few things up - ie 10bhp = I think not !

Ownership = JE

Cheers
