Tracker cat5 plus is the best on the market.

Thanks. So you just pay one-off for those, no running costs? |

I appreciate the benefits of a tracker as part of a layering system. However most are easily located and simply ripped out.

Sounds like the UK needs a change in the law dealing with criminals. How about chopping hands off when you are caught stealing.

The standard factory fitted system on L494 is somewhat more sophisticated than a lot of people give LR credit for because it doesn’t have a locatable black box of tricks but is scattered throughout various systems within the car............... it deserves more than Cat5 but Thatcham are the experts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Being unfamiliar with insurance laws down under - I d still hazard a guess to say you wouldn’t be covered against theft if the car was unlocked with the keys in it......most insurance is based on the owner taking reasonable steps to prevent theft. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR |

The easiest way to prevent theft of cars is to go back to putting key in ignition,ok they can still steal them but it would make it harder for the thief’s.

To be cat 5 you need an additional fob, separate to the key, that you have to carry around as well. I definitely wouldn't want that (and if I did, it would just end up on the same key ring as the car key or even left in the car). RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I had the SmartTrack Protector Pro fitted to mine a few weeks ago. £245 and a couple of hours to fit. The subscription is £12 a month. Not too bad considering |

Mine is same tracker but without the fob,,I had the 5 on my previous RRS & it was good because without the fob if they get your keys within 5 minutes tracker are calling you to let you know the car has moved,,the only reason I’ve not got 5 on my now RRS is that it already had the 6 fitted so I just paid for 2 years subscription which worked out at half the price of having a 5 fitted.

I might be on my own here but I`ve always been of the mindset that if my car is stolen and ragged around by some toe rag, I wouldn`t want it back! Steve. |
