I have a good old fashioned service book on my 2013, But always check to see it's been entered online and so far so good 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

The first 2 services had not been entered when I bought mine, but I harassed my dealer until they harassed the previous dealer to update Topix. Seems they aren't too fussed, but if you ever ask about service history they just dismiss it with "it's all online now sir" 2012 RRS SDV6

I had my rrs serviced at hunters kings lynn and they did not enter the details etc in the on line service history.i have contacted them many times since and they tell me that it will be done but still does not appear. i have even e.mailed jlr asking them to sort it out for me and complained about their dealer but they have not even replied.what a load of ******s. |

So they introduce a paperless online service recording routine and they say it's the customers responsibility to prove that services have been carried out. Incredible. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

Yes, it's particularly worrying considering the recent post on the approved warranty not paying out for the crankshaft failures, if the online service info hasn't been updated then JLR is certainly likely to back out of any goodwill repair. Infact any warranty would back out of other repairs if they could say the car hasn't been serviced correctly (with no proof available). 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine
