I'm looking to purchase an older Ranger rover sport, yes I know they look dated etc. etc. but now they're cheap to but I can actually afford one. Now I live on benefits so I'm looking at maybe a 2011 RRS1. My only concern is a 2011 RRS1 that was £25K last year is now £14k.

My friends are telling me the RRS1 is the worst buy ever and will basically be unsellable in 2018 but due to my limited budget thanks to the Torys my benefits will just about allow me a RRS1. Will it really be worthless is 2018? On my street recently a few people with old X5's have managed to get RRS1.

First of all,,a 2011 last year would have been between 20-25k depending on spec & mileage,,secondly you won’t get a 2011 now at 14k unless it’s high mileage & low spec.if you buy a 2011 at around 18-20k you won’t loose a fortune in 12 months,once they get to 6years old or above they have had the big hits with losing money & they drop steadily.

£8999 for an 11 year old car? No offence but that's a lot of money for a very old vehicle. Shop around I've seen 2010's for £7500. Not saying they're perfect but £8999 is waaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy top much
