Service item "Oil dilution" or something similar o

Hi, I just had a call from my dealer asking me whether they could bring my car in for an engine oil dilution sensor reset or something similar. Apparently a potential issue for certain cars including mine. I got the feeling the caller was feeding me mostly a crock of sh*t rather than the actual detail so I don't have much more than the vague description of the issue above.

Has anyone else received a service recall on this or know about it?

My feeling are anything to do with electronics and the British is bound to fail, they can't get in car systems working let alone ones that must not fail. Why not leave a dip stick in then there is a redundant system . M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

I don't know what system is used to regenerate the DPF but injecting additional fuel into the system which ends up in the sump just does not seem a well engineered system. It will rely upon a lot of sensors and other items which may be prone to failure.

Showing on TOPIX for mine which was serviced 6 weeks ago, don't expect to hear from the dealer as I usually have to tell them there is an update. 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. Arrived 3rd September 2018
