Just taken my summer wheels off yesterday and thinking of selling them, good condition with a couple of small marks to 2 wheels with pirelli tyres around 4 to 5mm ( just ordered a gauge to measure them )

I would just be a bit careful about offsett. I don’t know that I’ve finally sorted it but as I understand it the offset for RRS is 53. However there appears to be different 53 offsets. Here’s a picture I recently took of the reverse of my 20 inch (I have Brembos). Sorry about the quality. My issue was with some 19 inchers I bought which don’t fit over Brembos even though they were 53 offset.

Why would after market 22`s be prone to crack? Surely they`re made to specific safety standards!! Steve. |

They are unlikely to be specifically designed for the weight of an RRS, for a start. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Because we pay a premium when we buy a LR and can you imagine the press if genuine LR wheels failed! Aftermarket wheel manufacturers don't care, especially if they are made in China as they are often unbranded and therefore less prone to bad press! The wheels and tyres are probably the most important safety feature of these 3 tonne beasts, not worth risking it IMHO. Others may disagree but with aftermarket wheels you don't really know what you are getting. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue 2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time? |

Most aftermarket wheels cannot handle the weight of the RRS, many with all 4 copies fitted, even if with correct spec tyres, often can only handle maximum weight of 1.75 tons to 2.0 tons, somewhat light for a RRS, with the MK1s coming in at 3 Tons!

I have seen some which give a weight rating per wheel. Steve. |
