rear brake plates

hi got the body off the sport for an engine swap,,had a good look around the chassis etc today,,bloody rear brake plates corroded to nothing,,is there a simple way to sort this or anyone had the same issue ? expensive item for a bit of steel Shocked BUILDER PRETENDING TO BE A MECHANIC (give me some bricks and i will build you a house)
two discos v6 off contract (for sale) before they go to scrap

The backplates support all the handbrake shoes and gubbins that are well known for seizing up and/or disintegrating and can b***er up the EPB module costing you many £££s

It may be a bit of a pain as you have to pull the hubs I think but change them; and while you are in there fit new shoes, springs etc and lubricate/adjust properly. Will be well worth it.

Have a good look at the brake lines from front to rear and over the rear axle - they are very well known corrosion area and so much easier to change body off. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

thanks paddy,they are virtually disintegrated ,,another job to do,, BUILDER PRETENDING TO BE A MECHANIC (give me some bricks and i will build you a house)
