I have a Hero Black GoPro about 4 years old now and it has stopped working recently. I mentioned this to some divers in Malta and the team leader advised that GoPro’s all stop working around 4-5 years old but they still replace theirs with another because for professional underwater use there is nothing comes near to them in value for money and quality of picture. Not sure I will replace mine though as there are now so many accessories for IPhone’s cameras that make them as useful as a GoPro now, unless you want to go diving! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I wouldn’t use it underwater so that feature isn’t really required. The thing I want most of all, is a video mode that cuts down wind noise when I’m using it on my car 😂 |

You need to get a decent microphone and a very good windshield for it, only real way to get rid of wind noise is using pro type equipment which isn't really suitable for what you want.

Thanks for the advice it’s much appreciated. I’m almost tempted to get a cheap £20 one off of eBay just to try. It might be an ‘omg it actually works! ‘ moment! Noisy black one |

I bought a £40 4K version from eBay and it is fine - not brilliant in low light but few are. |
