Subwoofer rattle

I have the HK sound system in my 2011 Sport.
The sound system is pretty good other than the ratting subwoofer.
I thought it may be a defective/ripped speaker so I took the rear trim off today, to find the speaker intact.
Without the panel on the Sub sounded ok. I tried insulating the plastic panel but every time I put it back on, the rattle returned.
It is either a badly designed sub location or I am missing something when putting the panel back on.

Any ideas..?

Have a vauge recollection there have been previous posts on this issue, may have even been a L/R service bulletin on it. Can't really remember fully but a search might turn something up.

Cheers

I have done a search but nothing useful.
Where would I find a service bulletin?

As I said only had a vague recollection, so could be getting totally muddled up with something else. If there is a bulletin of any sort should be on Topix somewhere. I assume all the panel retaining clips are there none broken or missing.

Cheers

It's a crap location! Mine doesn't rattle inside, but I grew up DJing in the 90s and like to play my music pretty turned up still... but over a certain volume (not even up near the max), outside the motor, the taigate vibrates like crazy and makes it sound like a 17 year old kid in a Saxo... definitely not very thought out by LR IMO Sad

Cheers..

Ian

I had the same issue of vibration and rattle but both are relatively easy to fix and I have put a post in tips and tricks to explain.
