Winter prep with new Ctek mxs10

Hello all
As winter approaches, I am sure many of you will be using the pre heat function. Below is a couple of links to get a reasonable price Ctek and adaptors
Ctek mxs10 £105.98
http://www.justcarbatteries.co.uk/ctek-mxs...arger.html
2.5 meter ctek comfort extension £11.99
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00ADIHUV...&psc=1
Tow bar adaptor ( From rrs site) my option cost approx £27
https://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/tow-electric...c-p45.html
The above eliminates the hastle of lifting the bonnet.only takes 1 minute to attach and detach charger.
For a total of £150, it's well worth it

It is an excellent bit of kit and so easy to use. I would have put one together myself, but as I am getting fatter, balder and lazier. With two children under 5. It's nice to get it delivered complete through the post. Very Happy MY12 RRS HSE

I find driving 100-150 miles per day keeps the battery topped up and the FBH doesn't do for the battery even when used everyday. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I'm sure you would get the same benefit for £65 with a 5 amp version

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Siberian Silver

Got my 5 amp ctek and 2,5m extension delivered today after reading an earlier thread on the subject which is spooky. Just need to check I've got a permanent live feed on the 13 pin socket before opting for the adaptor, its got to be easier than popping the bonnet and attaching directly to the battery.
Only hope the missus doesn't forget that its attached and drives off without disconnecting it Big Cry 13MY HSE BLACK SDV6 in Siberian Silver

5amp version is fine, 10amp is quicker, I was going to get the 25amp version but was not suitable for using the tow bar electrics.
LTFR mine is the 13 pin and works fine. Part of the 13plug configuration is permanent live and earth, so you should be fine. Also the kit comes with a laminated warning sign saying it is on charge. Stick it in front of the dials or remove the clip on the comfort extension so it unplugs if driven away MY12 RRS HSE

Depends what you are after.

If you are organised and what maintance charging then 5A or less is fine.

If you have let the battery go flat, then a 10 will recharge it quicker.
