Got around to fitting them today, a few bolts so badly rusted had to be ground off, but other than that a simple but slightly long winded job. I can’t believe the state of the ones I removed.

Genuine new Side Step End Cap available from Land Rover Parts Departments, but they are very expensive at £40.14 each inc VAT. Part No: STC7562 |

John, That's a very old part number I'm inclined to think they maybe for the old P38. |

Blasting of the 6 brackets and 2 boards and alu trims was £38, galvanising of the boards and brackets were £106 and the powder coating the alu was £50. I got the steps from a local guy on here for £125 so all in was about £320. For a better than new set of genuine landrover steps. All fixings were replaced with new stainless bolts etc. All done be at BMT, Great Yarmouth Actually gave the car a clean so all looking fresh again
I DO HAVE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED A SET OF CUT PLASTIC GENUINE LANDROVER SILLS AND RUBBER TREADS. THAT CAME WITH THEM, BUT I ALREADY HAD THEM ON MINE. FREE TO WHO EVER WANTS TO COLLECT THEM. |

Excellent idea to get the steps and brackets galvanised, I've still not fitted any to mine as the corrosion after a short while was of concern. This is definately now on my to do list.

Yep was unnecessary but i asked the guys about spraying it and this is what they said, and it wasn’t any more expensive than normal primer, It purely personal choice as I was worried that if the rubber mats didn’t seat correctly of the red trims didn’t marry up flush the shiney silver finish may of been seen and I didnt want that. Would of just hammerited it, but I couldn’t find a brush.lol |
