Canary,,I think it depends on the area you live/park car over night wether you need a tracker or not.ive got one fitted but insurance said I don’t need it,,Aviva trader policy but I had it fitted anyway just in case.

Insurance is about risk and you own one of the easiest cars to steal on the market today, without getting into the rights and wrongs of that, it’s sensible business to require a tracker as an insurance company, and it’s not A plan setting that requirement (they are a broker ) it’s the underwriters of the actual insurance companies. I d suggest they aren’t the only company that would require a tracker. Infact I d go as far as suggesting the companies that don’t stipulate a tracker are in the minority. They are in the minority I agree with that, but when mainstream companies such as more than & directline to mention but a few biggies that are happy to insure my rrs, then it makes a joke of a so called site sponsor who's speciality is supposedly rrs MY18 SCV8 Satin flux silver

So as you say they specialise in RRS - therefore know the car and frailties fo theft....therefore sensibly specify a tracker .

And don’t forget,,the person you spoke to on the phone might have said no tracker required till you have a claim & in the small print that nobody reads it says vehicle must have tracker fitted.Athen what happens to your 50k plus car,,you’ve no car & ££££ out of pocket & if car is on finance you’ve still to pay for it,,all this for the sake of £500 is a small price to pay.My insurance have said no tracker needed but Ive had one fitted just in case anything happens to the car & they turn round & say,,yes sir but you didn’t mention when getting insurance that you wasn’t parking it on the drive all the time,,,you know what they are like at getting out of paying.
