Hi,
I’ve had this a few times. Usually happens if I’m walking away and stretch back to reach up and close the boot. It’s just a guess but I think it’s because the key, in my pocket, is too far from the boot lid??
If I then stand under the boot lid and try again it always works!
Just a thought!
H.

Nope. Mine will always close from the button. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
