iphone is not found intermittently by the audio system

Hi There,
My 2010 RRS does a weird thing lately and I thought that someone might have some ideas on that. After the car gets washed (hand wash), my iphone cannot be found by the audio system for – approximately – a one day period. The phone is charged when I plug it, but no music can be listened from the iphone and I get the ‘please connect device’ message. After a day, everything works fine. No problem with the wires, nothing. Has anyone ever experienced an electronic gismo like this? Any idea, other than the one that the car should not be washed, is utterly appreciated
