Just returned from 400 miles round trip this weekend to visit family in Scotland and first proper test of my new Lexus RC 300h F Sport

Average of 48 mpg according to computer at end of trip mostly 70 mph motorway with some country roads at start and end of each leg

As a tourer it's superb and still feels sporty when you hit the throttle to overtake or throw it into bends - I'm a very happy bunny

On a separate note I've hardwired a Thinkware F770 in the Lexus and what a that was

The fuse box is underneath the glovebox in passenger footwell and being a sports car not much room to work upside down

Strangely though I had a job to find a switched live as just about everything I tried was permanently live but found one using heated seats fuse - there was no trailer supply either as you can't fit a towbar but did find spare supply so worked out

2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Following on from my previous comment, i sent the wife a picture of your car muddy and she replied with 'mehh'. and brushed my gleaming eyes aside.
We've just returned from the car dealerships, she has decided it is time to trade on the Merc E350 coupé for either a Mini Coopr S or JCW, - small enough for city parking and still goes like stink. Or, hybrid and a Golf GTE. and maybe something cheaper.
The Subaru BRZ she liked but wants automatic and black = Toyota GT86. - She spits on me in disgust at the thought of driving a Toyota.
Trade in on the Merc is about 6-7000€ under what we were offered when looking at a Tesla.
Test drove a GTE. nice bit of poke when pressing the loud pedal but it didn't have the wow factor. a Saturday morning trip to Tesco type of car.
The BRZ was way to tiny - we're tall. Then she spotted a black IS 300h. She liked the look of it, sat inside and jumped straight out, stank of cigarettes. But she liked it. So we're driving to the other end of Helsinki to more dealerships and drive past the Lexus showroom, where she swings a hard right and parks up. She's eyeing up the IS 300h executive when the dealer tells her about a showroom example outside which is 'very tasty'.
After a 1 hour test drive in brand new RC 300h F-Sport she is in love and asking for a trade in quote.

from the side i'm egging her on to buy it. It's not cheaper, (67 000€) it's not smaller and it's made by a firm owned by Toyota. haha
