Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Question about Navigation on the move

We took delivery of our new RRS on Monday evening. Last night I took it to attend a business dinner in the city - on the way home, at a traffic light, I turned on the navigation system to see how it would handle the route home. Everything is working fine so after awhile, I get tired of hearing the commands and decide to shut it off. I'm driving along and all the menu commands works, including cancelling the current guidance and choosing to input a new one. Now - I'm confused. Even the dealer on delivery told me that the system would not be accessible while driving...but it is.

Did I somehow get 2007 spec navigation software on a last of series 2006 model?

What does the restriction of the system while driving look like?

I'm not complaining here...just trying to figure out if I have navigation on the move or not....coz it seems I do. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

You can cancel the guidance while you're driving along, along with enter destinations if it's your home or if they're in the previous destinations list. For other functions, you should see that the buttons/icons are greyed out. i.e. if you tried to enter a brand new destination whilst moving along you'd see all the keyboard etc greyed out.

Yes...you do have navigation on the move...it's code 1791...

You will see a thread posted by Umberto on this, or on the U.S. forum...once you punch in this code, you can then subsequently input addresses on the fly while moving.

cheers. PJPR
