Wales 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra Black

I have Digital TV on mine and have no problems with reception. I do use it a lot at break times or if my good lady would otherwise not see her programs. Wink I can of course also play any DVD films, CDs uploaded to HD, generally use DAB when on own, or Bluetooth my music on iPhone.
Although illegal to watch TV on the move, it is easily bypassed should you want to go that route, strange legal to sell bypass units, although no recommendation from Forum or myself. Whistle
Split screen (if fitted) works on passenger side on the move. Very Happy John

Found an MY17 with dual view and took a good look. Massive difference from the old system and no loss of quality compared to non dual view! I still did not spec it though as decided not to get the TV option.

I must confess I have TV. And I've not turned it on once since getting the car in December. SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh

Thanks - I did not spec it. SkyGo and BT Sport apps on the Iphone 7 Plus are way good enough Smile

Wish there was a way to stream like chromecast on to the car's screen though that would be fantastic. I use the BT Sport app to stream HD football to my 75" TV at home and it works a treat. I have BT Sports at home too via the sky box but the bastards want £5 a month more for HD but not sure why as the streaming app via chromecast does the job just fine Laughing

My car has a HDMI port under the centre cubby hole lid. Maybe that's a recent addition but if it's anything like home TV then that could be the 2017 solution?

Ive got TV (non dual front screen) on My MY16...
- Works fine. In town its very good. Rural motorways, perhaps 30 mins outside our city - it stuggles.

Perfect for kids TV and silence on long journeys (though perhaps with a DVD).

the media centre is awful. USB in the back isn't powered for a hard drive.
- front USB won't stream to rear. Really Censored . 2022 P440e AB

Has anyone tried the hdmi lead?

Could plug iPhone into that and stream your skygo or bt

Can you stream from the web on the system?

Mine doesn't have an HDMI port.
- I'm sure that newer versions do.

Disco 5 does for example. 2022 P440e AB

You can get conversion boxes for reversible ways from HDMI to Scart, Phono leads or USB. These are for home use, but as they cut the voltage down to 12volts, so not to much of a problem to sort out.
I haven't tried in a car, so cannot say what the results will be like. I'm sure there are other forms of signal/lead conversion also available. John
