you didn't disconnect the parking speaker when it was annoying you? |

If the speaker is faulty you should recieve an error message on the dash stating that the sensors aren't working (not sure if it's a default message, but for mine when the speaker died it said the front sensors weren't working) |

He may not have front sensors.

This may help as I've just had a go at mine. It's possibly a common fault with the routing of the wiring loom as when I took my bumper off and had a look someone had done a botched repair before me. However one wire had (once again?) parted company and once replaced my sensors are working fine.
