Engine oil

I'm told by the garage I bought the RR Sport 2011, from that the oil used in the engine is Petronas Syntium 5000 FJ 5w-30. I don't like to mix oils if possible but I cant find that oil anywhere. I can find Petronas Syntium 5000 (different letters) 5w-30. The spec for the oil isM2C934-B The Pertonas Syntium I can find is M2C9(46)-B
Are these letters important, is it just an upgrade? I just want to top the oil up, when I get the next service I'll change it to something more readily available. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just go to Halfords (or similar) and get an oil that meets the handbook specification. Halford's own label will be fine for topping up - although if you need more than a few caps full then you probably have bigger issues than what brand of oil you're burning...

This will do: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oi...ord-oil-2l
So wil this: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oi...il-1-litre 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Quite agree, you don't need to post up the same query in more than one thread, it confuses everyone.

Yes sorry about that, it was a mistake and not intentional. Thanks for all the advice.
