Common problem with the the mechanism . The winch can be removed - 4 bolts if I remember rightly - once off the Sport it can be made to untangle via a vice & brute force lubricate it & wind back before refitting 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Coz they chew up after repeat use so either replace them or just use normal ones.
