Ebay has a SC exhaust for sale at £100 at the moment. Might this be of any use, only single pipes but better than the diesel pipes if that's what you have! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

There were some weld-on jobs of an erstwhile member who's name escapes me at the moment.... I'll see if I can find the pics, they're in the gallery somewhere.

Mazza - you will be much better off investing in a system from JE - it is designed esp for the diesel - it looks like the S/C when fitted - it sounds much better when fitted too........ see pics in Paulb's gallery. I have seen his car and listened to the exhaust note. If I had a tdv6 - this would be my 1st modification = 100%

But was that cheaper than £350+VAT? Tips will be cheaper, but obviously you get what you pay for.

There a lots of chrome tips out there - what you have to do is literally hacksaw of the downturn section at the of your tailpipe - then leave enough length to allow your new chrome tip to slide over - this will of course need welding to the existing remaining section of your tailpipe.

Thank you, does it sound less like a diesel with them fitted? Do you know anyone who could fit them in the Surrey or London area to save me having to go to Coventry? thanks |

There's some nice twin tailpipe trims on ebay for £21.99 (£39.98 the pair). They can be properly fitted and welded by your local exhaust specialists (ie Top Gear), or, as previously stated, you can just hacksaw the end of your single pipes and clamp-on the new ones. They do look much better, Im going to have mine done. Good Luck! |
