If you get the wife to sit in the car with it in gear and foot on the brake, if you walk round and put your ear to each sensor you should be able to hear them clicking, if it's not clicking that will be your faulty one |

7 years or about 100,000 miles i believe for the timing belt but not sure when the trimming belt gets done to be honest |

Will a dodgy sensor be the reason the suspension won't stay at access level ? Goes down but then resets as obstacle in way ? |

No, that's either a calibration issue or one of the height sensors is dodgy. |
