United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Java Black
Grill & Headlight Upgrade

Morning All,

I have a 2006 HST supercharged RRS. The headlights seemed dim, and the general style of the grill and headlights looked aged, so I have carried out some modifications inspired by this forum.

- Upgraded the front grill with the AB upgrade from powerfuluk.
- Installed LED DRLs, and sprayed the insides black from this thread http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic29640.html
- Installed high power LED high beam as per this thread - http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic46312.html
- Installed Osram Xenarc Nightbreakers.
- Sanded and polished the headlight covers.

Cover stuck back on and sprayed with clear lacquer:

Broke these clips when I took the old grill off, so had to order some more:

All back together again:

This mod has made a huge difference to the looks of the car! The headlights are so much brighter, no longer a dim pinkish colour. The LED high beams are unreal, they are infinitely brighter. The look on peoples faces when you flash them to go is funny, they're like what the **** are those lights.

All in all took me about 2 months to complete all the work, as my wife had our first baby halfway through!

Hope you enjoy the piccies!! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Also don't suppose you have a picture of them on?

Go For it! They're a bit rarer, and with the upgrades i've just done, they can look like a brand new car! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

You'll want to get the lenses re-laquered, when you've sanded them you will have removed the existing coating. Without the laquer they will sun bleach in no time..
