Maybe because it's too far away from you to be able to see what they're up to?

I know it's no help to you, but it reminds me of my first new car (a Ford) which I bought in 1970 after several months waiting list. Not only was there over-spray, but parts of the car weren't painted at all, and there wasn't even undercoat on the underside of the bonnet! There was also the minor issue that it was the wrong colour! All the dealership came up with in response was "this is one of the better ones, you should see some of the others"! Sadly, I was less worldly-wise in those days and didn't have the knowledge (or probably the consumer rights at that time) to deal with it adequately. In your case, if you aren't going to be happy with it regardless, reject it. If, on balance, you still want it, insist on some financial recompense, if necessary 'in kind' (free service pack, etc.) which gives you financial benefit at less cost to them.

Just think; if a dealer repairs the car any future issues will, contractually, be between you and this dealer.

You don't need the hassle - reject it !

Still not entirely sure why it has to be shipped to Scotland even if they say there are SVR bodyshop specialists at this dealer. I live in Ryton, less than half a mile from SVO. Many of my neighbours work at SVO and they are all hand picked specialists from across the company, including paint sprayers and body techs.

This has been eating at me for over two weeks now since it went back to the dealership !!

And i have tried to keep my cool with JLR but just keep getting the 'Run Around'

It is a complete mystery to me too. It was a decision made by JLR to send vehicle to Taggarts. I wasn't even consulted !!!
