The rear interior lights don't come on with opening the doors. Strange but true.

design. Rear interior lights are only switched on manually once sat in the back. Visitor from fullfatrr.com

I altered wiring to have rear courtesy lights working automatically. LR being cheapskates, the cheapest cars have this facility.
