Engine Management Light

stayed on after changing a flat battery Big Cry spoke to indy who said it may just need the battery management system resetting what ever that is or it could just have got itself in a tizzy because of all the flashings lights and probable codes from said battery. Why is it such a faff when its just a battery WTF

Battery only dead cause window tinters ran it flat Censored I've contacted them with my issue and their answer was.......sorry that was it Big Cry so far its cost me £114 for a battery £18 taxi fare home and now at least £72 for an hours diagnostic.

I think the thing that concerned me the most was the indy said it could be anything but its not running in a restrictive mode and I have tried touching the leads together when battery was away from car to do the 'hard reset' but didn't cure it.

Could it be anything else? Surely not just from a flat battery??????

The ECU would have registered the flat battery and recorded codes etc - hence the EML.

As a first step - trying a hard reset to see if that clears the EML.
