I sat in my sport the other day in the rain and the sun roof blind was open and i could see the rain dripping in through the corners so can you adjust the sunroof to fit the opening as i can see a gap or do i need a new rubber or do i have to live with it which i dont want to do as if you park it facing downhill water drips through the light

Yes you can adjust them, but it is quite possible you may need a new rubber.

Please Note: A leaking Range Rover Sunroof is a standard factory fitted option.

Yep thought it may be standard fit how do you adjust them as it does look a bit low

If you look at the Left and Right side of the sunroof you will see what looks like a convoluted piece of rubber, if you remove those they are only a sort of push fit. Underneath at each end there is a small torx headed screw, I think they maybe something like a 15 can't remember off hand, loosen them and you can then move/adjust the sunroof then just retighten the screws, I think they are torqued to about 6 Nm.

Don't know if instructions below make sense but it is from L/R workshop manual.

With the roof opening panel closed, check the
alignment of the glass to the roof panel. The glass
should be central in its aperture. Profile of sunroof
to body: front edge, set flush or up to 1.0 mm
(0.040") low; rear edge, set flush or up to 1.0 mm
(0.040") high.

Hi just had a look and the adjustment seems to be all the way up but my sunroof appears to be sitting a bit low as none of it is above the roof line it actually appears to be sat below the roof line

After a deluge of rain it started to seep through the front corners of the sunroof. After reading previous entries on this Forum I was able to quickly identify blocked drainage holes. Sorted. And again, thanks.  Barrie.

I too had a small shower last night as I drove off my drive....yet another thing to me off. Steve.

Never had any leaks with my sunroof. The only problem I find is that dust builds up between the rubber and the painted metal opening and scratches the painted surface badly. This is a problem in a dusty environment as I have had a similar problem with previous cars.

I rarely ever open the sunroof. I clean the rubber seal and the painted aperture openning once a week to prevent the painted surface from deteriorating.

I use Zymol Seal to keep the sunroof seal from getting hard.
