REVERSE CAMERA INSTALL

Hello All

Newbie here, to the forum and RRS!

A question for all you experts out there, I've spotted a black round button near the lights on the roof and think it maybe related to the aftermarket DVD headrests in the back? I have pressed it but nothing noticeable happens!

Anyone shed some light on it, I'm looking to install a reverse camera and I've heard of a requirement of a "GVIF" module? Are these related?

Thanks in advance

are you sure it's a button and not a remote control receiver ?

I don't think this means you have a GIF sadly.

That does look look very similar to button that came with a GVIF unit I fitted into my old 09 plate sport, can't really remember fully but sure it was used to change the view on the screen, sure there were three different selections, tv, rear screens and possibly camera or audio dispay as I say can't really remember.

If you have a look at the rear of the sat nav unit under the passengers seat you may see if it has or had a GIVF unit fitted.

Cheers
Col

When the button is pressed it definitely makes a noise below the passenger seat, upon investigation I've found a few modifications there. I've taken some pics to see if that helps to identify what is there.

Thanks for that. Was the PS2 used as a DVD player you think? Or is Sat Nav unit used as a DVD player?

Can I hook up a reverse camera to the unit already there?

Thanks

My playstation was used as a dvd player as well not sure if your feeds from that unit go to the screen or not you would need to find that out by removing the screen at the front and seeing if there is a fakra connection made at the rear of the unit and also if the unit is capable of taking a reverse camera Thumbs Up
