Hi
Our RRS is due for its first 15000 mile service I get the idea the price is not fixed, what deals have you all had from your dealers?

I should think it is about the same as D3's in which case it could be between £160 and £539 which are the best and worst that have been reported over there. Rolling Eyes
Matter of phoning around if you are not worried about sticking with your supplying dealer.

Not in the UK, but the story does seem to change overseas. I think in the US and Oz, you get free servicing thrown in.... not sure about Canada though.

FYI, my 15k service cost me £320.

I don't like it when firms do business that way.
It shows they are making a huge margin to begin with.
In my business I quote a price and stick to it, you shouldn't have to start lowering prices.
Even at £300 they are still making a nice profit, as I said some D3's have been serviced for £160, granted these dealers are probably making next to no profit but they will certainly get repeat custom which will pay dividends in years to come.

Rant over

better go and rip a few people off now

Yeah, the dealers must make a large proportion of their revenue from the service dept. There's a lot to be said for these service inclusive packages if you know the miles are going to mount up during your ownership.

I was given a filled in checklist... quite a few items on it. Seemed to cover interior, exterior, engine bay and running gear I believe. The usual stuff gets done - oil change, oil/air filter changes etc. I doubt I will get a chance anytime soon to scan and upload the checklist, but someone else might have one nearer to hand.
