The extended warranty question (again)!

So, the 6 month warranty that I got when I bought the car comes to an end at the end of the month.

Searching around the forum it seems I have a choice of 3:-

1. LR official warranty. Seems expensive, but worth it?
2. My local LR dealer (Westover) offers their own warranty. Much cheaper, seems to cover the same things, including their own labour rate £115/hr).
3. Use one of the warranty companies such as Warranty Wise (who I'm with now and renewal quote seems very expensive and restricted) or Warranty Direct who seem to get good reviews on here.

Any strong opinions, good/bad experiences?

I also need new ARB bushes and the heated windscreen's not working on the driver's side. Are these likely to be covered by an extended warranty or windscreen cover? Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

Bushes are a known issue and likely to be considered a wear and tear item. Not sure how they deal with pre-existing issues but before you can opt for the LR warranty I believe your car has to have an inspection at your expense. The front screen may need a replacement screen if one side is still working OK. I had my screen replaced in January because the passenger side was not defrosting but the car is still in the 3 year warranty period. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Bushes and glass are usually excluded from warranties.

If you've narrowed it down to a fault in the screen, get it replaced under your insurance policy. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Warranties do not cover pre existing conditions so you will have to get any faults repaired first.
Why haven't you used the warranty with car if things aren't working? John

I intend to. 2 parts to my OP, who to take a new warranty out with, and if my current issues are likely to be covered by existing warranty.

Im pretty sure neither are covered, rubber bushes are specifically excluded as are glass windows from my warranty wise platinum policy, and admiral will only cover chipped or cracked glass 😣

So, back to the other question, which warranty to go for now? Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

I'd go with LR if you can get it with Assist. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
