Range rover sport Electric parking brake removal

I wondered if anyone had a link for removing the electric parking brake module. I've been told by a range rover specialist that my motor is fine and to just re-cog the motor. Does anyone have any idea where I can buy the cogs or anywhere cheap to just get someone else to do refurb the unit once I have it off the car. Thanks

To be honest it is easier to replace the unit completely as you get new cables and it is easier to do it once and not do it then put it back together then take it back off and do it again i have never heard of anyone taking it apart and replacing the cogs bit it is obviously possible Thumbs Up

Photobucket is being a right pain and a Censored recently.
We have stopped using it completely since their new rules and charges if you post any of 'your' photos on Ebay or other for sale sites, social media, they now charge you, non payment means your links are removed to items. This latest round on top of Pro charges anyway is madness and stopping lots of help pages on forums too. Censored John

Agreed, but it's not like any of us gave them any money for hosting those photos.

Off Topic They don't like adblocker programs either when you use the "free" site, but I have had a paid subscription since they started and have no issues with either (and the cost hasn't gone up over all the years I've been using PB). I sometimes read The Daily telegraph online and before I even get onto the site I get a message to say they note that I am using an adblocker program and therefore depriving advertisers of revenue.......... strange I thought I would be depriving DT of advertisiing revenue, not the other way round! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Those plastic gears look like a win, can you replace them with the epb module in situ or do you need to remove it from the vehicle ?

I'm thinking these might well be what the garage were on about. I will be removing the module tomorrow so hopefully will see if it is definitely them. The specialist just recommended changing the cogs but I might end up just buying the whole motor as suggested on here but I'll have a look inside my module 1st. Thanks for everyone's help and I'll let you no how it goes. Cheers

Hi again. I have taken my parking module with 3 cables off the car. Someone has previously "butchered" as I would put it the plastic screw connectors to the hub and also there was already numerous snapped bolts so not sure what they had been upto but it's off now anyway. I was hoping for abit of help as once the module was off I went to start the car up but all that happens is the indicators continuously flash and all sorts of warning messages are on the dash aswell as the car will not turn over at all. I'm hoping someone can help me and is a simple thing as like I say it has only done this once the epb module had been removed. Thanks again
