Hi,

It seems the two hoses going from the pipes to the actuator on the anti roll bar have bursted and are leaking fluid. The dealer say there is no single part number for these hoses and have to change the whole piping system for the dynamic response.

I think this is a bit overkill!?

Would be easier, I think, to cut the piping, install swageloks and have a new hose made by a hydraulic service man?

Anyone had this problem?

Sorry, don't have any part numbers but this is from the workshop manual for pre-face-lift RRS:

SYSTEM PIPES
Fluid is moved through the Dynamic Response system via a seriesof six pipes and hoses. The pipes are mounted on brackets at
strategic points to provide quiet operation of the system.

The six pipes connecting the pump, reservoir and actuators are one-piece components. If the pipes require replacement during
service, the pipes are supplied individually and are removed and replaced in one piece. The front and rear pipes require the body
to be lifted slightly to allow access for removal and replacement.

On TdV8 models from 2007MY, the high pressure hose and pipe from the pump to the valve block are available as two separate
service parts. The high pressure hose has a quick release connector located in a position below the Air Conditioning (A/C)
compressor. This allows the hose to be splitinto two parts to assist with service repairs. The connector is sealed with an O-ring
and a back-up ring which are available as service items. A special tool is requiredto separate the connector. The tool is inserted
into a slot in the connector, which separates the two components. It is not necessary to use the tool as a lever to 'push' the two
components apart.

The flexible high pressurehose which supplies pressure from the pump to the high pressure pipe is fitted with attenuators. The
attenuators comprise of tuned lengths of PTFE pipe and restrictors within the flexible hose. The attenuators damp pressure
pulsations in the hydraulic fluid producedby the pump, reducing noise and strain on components downstream. The attenuator is
integral with the high pressure hoseand cannot be serviced separately.

CAUTION: Under no circumstances during repairs should clamps be used on the high pressure hose or the front and rear
actuator feed pipes to prevent fluid loss. The use of clamps will damage the pipes and hoses leading to premature failure

I dont have the workshop manual so this was helpful.

The hoses are the two inside the red circle in this photo:



They don't have a separate part number but I believe the part for the assembly is "RQA500120". Not to expensive, but a hole lot of trouble to change in my opinion.

I believe the attenuators are sitting higher up, near the pump.. Hopefully....

been waiting 10 weeks now for these pipes from landrover

From memory if front and rear ones that are leaking, then unfortunately they have to lift the body of car to replace.
Unless I'm getting confused with other pipes, it was on here but search hasn't found the previous thread.

its the front os one . the specialist said its because its the petrol model ,so only limited supply

Had to have mine replaced due to a leak last year, I seemed to recall they only came as a set at about £250, with the labour and replacement fluid the bill was about 900, I did have the single pipe replaced from pump to block at same time which was about £80.
Luckily the £90 RAC warranty paid £750 as I had to have car recovered as it had ditched all the ace fluid. Nanocom Evo

oh god they told me the pipes should be £400 but for the supercharged its come in at £200 .but theres none in the country . if I'm going to have to chew on like this I think il find a different brand . I get my tvr cerbera and lotus elise sorted quicker then this

The pipes can be bought individually, but it works out to be more cost effective to buy the 4 as a complete unit, individually each pipe costs nearly as much as the complete set, so you buy two and you've spen't more than it would cost to buy all 4..

The part number for the 4.2 is: RQA500018

hi ,thanks for the advice everyone . just had it in for a temporary repair , drove it home tonight and its still dumped half its fluid on the drive

Whatever is a temporary repair? Surely either repaired or not, for that fluid system.  John

Then I removed the plastic cover under the car on the driver's side. Found some gravel and mud there, so the pipes had rusted, and therefore holes in one. They were not pretty, so I wonder if I should change them all when I first do this. But found that they were not cheap, someone who has someone who can deliver at a nice price. Thanks in advance

Got repaired the leak in the pipes, but after filling with the right oem oil I experience a strange knock sound when I turn right. Is there any kind of blending for this system, or do the car it self.
What can it be ?
