Genuine Range Rover deployable side steps should have sensors fitted so they don't operate (open) when you open the doors, if car is to low to clear any kerbs or obstacles, I didn't think it was an extra option. You can also overide them when doors closed, to bring them out, to gain better access to the roof. John

I don't think there are such sensors on mine, and they are genuine dealer-fitted side steps. Also, it was the dealer who said I shouldn't use automatic access. |
