Thought I might brighten a dreary Monday morning by sharing the weekend's 'fun'...

Whilst stuck in stop/start traffic, on the way to local refuse tip of all places, RRS began to rock/judder vary, very slightly. Thought it was weird/unusuaL, but dismissed & put down to camber of road etc.

Moved forward 100 yards, & then stopped in traffic again, midway around a roundabout as it happens. Selected park, as I figured it could be a while.

Few mins later, I tried to put back into drive, but gear selector wouldn't budge. Tried turning off ignition & re-starting, but no joy. Starter motor spun for 5 secs but gear selector firmly stuck in park & no engine start.

Ended up having to abandon (rubbish still in the car - phew!) & leave in the hands of Assist to recover - who were great btw.

Prognosis expected from dealership today, but wondered if any of you fine folk might have any ideas of possible cause?

Also, anyone know where I can order magic trees in bulk, as I suspect car will truly honk after being locked all weekend with 5 bags of rubbish in the back 🤢☠️🙂

Stealers due to provide an update today, hopefully its nothing too catastrophic, although I'm quite liking the full fat RR they've lent as a courtesy car

And yep, reckon trip to detailers will be required at the very least.

After chasing all week, finally reached someone from the Service
Dept for an update.

Apparently the car hasn't even been looked at yet!

Great excuse though... they've got 27 cars that have been recovered.
Mine's in the queue somewhere.
