Done quite literally, hundreds of EGR blanks on 07/08/09 models, and never had an issue |

Same here, as long as it has the right software patch applied, you won't get EML appearing for an egr fault.

Oh and you don't have to have working egrs to blank them. The only people that tell you that you do are the cheap generic remappers that can't map them out properly...... Bodsys Brake Bible

My RRS is 2005 so did not need the software patch. I bought the kit from ebay for about £15 and fitted it myself. It was a bit fiddly as the egrs are situated fairly low in the engine bay but a pretty easy job really.

I have an O7MY and my egrs failed back in 2011 - before emulators. I bought two new EGRs and a BAS blanking kit - and remapped the ECU with the BAS version. As part of that process and before fitting the new EGRs I participated in an early remapping trial by BAS that included taking the EGrs out of the system - an early emulator.
