Dennis I too have worked many years in the Middle East but now work in Equatorial Africa - there is hardly any twilight, darkness comes like somebody flicked a switch and then the nights are really dark but with millions of twinkling stars! My lady friend went to Dubai for the first time in January - I told her to make sure she packed some warm clothes as well as the beachwear and she didn't believe me..... 2nd day in she was off to the Dubai Mall to buy a North Face fleece! In 2010 I spent December to March at Dubai drydock and twice we had very fine snow at night - it didn't settle but it was due to the north winds coming from Iran which was under several feet of snow in Tehran. Was also in Aqaba a few years ago when we all woke up to sea the tops of the mountains in Sinai and Saudi were white - it was the first recorded heavy snow fall in both countries! The highway from Aqaba to Amman was closed for about 4 days due to snow drifts too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
