For an extra £1000 they are! But I have a good set of 285/35/22 continentals in my garage, and was hoping to use them, will these be ok?

Yes they will be ok on a RRS1 but not on a RRS2 as the load rating is higher. When I bought my14 rrs I had a full set of nearly new Pirelli's 285/35r22's on a set of wheels & I changed them for 295/40r22's because of the load rating.
